Our tutors are highly trained in their respective content areas. They have years of hands-on experience teaching these disciplines and years of pedagogical experience.

Kim Sheppell

Kim is a certified teacher with a background in corporate finance.  She teaches 7-12 grade in the subject of mathematics.  She specializes in Algebra 1 and Honors Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, Geometry and Honors Geometry. She is currently contracted by many private institutions to develop mathematics curricula, perform curricula articulation and to develop mathematics materials to be utilized by both educators and students.

Bill Hardy

Bill is a retired teacher with over 40 years of expertise in mathematics. Bill is master teacher certified in all levels of mathematics and also certified in physics.  He specializes in Calculus, especially AP (AB) and AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Physics C both Mechanics & Electricity and Magnetism.

Sener Alptekin

Sener is the most highly trained mathematician we have the pleasure of working with in years. He is highly trained in advanced math and physics and specializes particularly in AP (AB) and (BC) and AP Physics 1 & 2 and AP Physics C both Mechanics & Electricity and Magnetism. Sener is currently pursuing his PhD in mathematics.

Sener also runs the Art of Problem Solving Club that prepares students for the AMC 8, 10, and 12 tests along with preparing students for the SAT 2 test in math and SAT/ACT math sections.

In addition, Sener will be teaching our new Mathematics for Engineering Majors (MEM).

James (Chris) Dugan

Chris is a certified teacher of mathematics with 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher.  Chris teaches 7-10 grade and has a passion for working with students in Algebra 1, Geometry and Honors Geometry to prove theorems. Chris is fabulous working with students at any level and is extremely patient with students who do not consider math their passion.

Caroline Borecki

Caroline is a certified teacher of mathematics and specializes in high school mathematics, especially Geometry and Pre-Calculus. Caroline brings years of experience as a classroom teacher with expertise in the International Baccalaureate ® (IB) curriculum.

Heather Wolfgang

Heather is a certified master teacher of mathematics who has taught at the high school level and currently teaches at the college level.  Heather specializes in advanced high school level math and college level mathematics including AP Calculus.

Jaclyn Weisz

Jaclyn is a certified master teacher of Biology and Chemistry who brings deep content knowledge and unparalleled skills for teaching students how to connect science information and how to study for science assessments.  Jaclyn can teach all levels of biology and chemistry and specializes in AP Biology.

Thomas Hoffmann

Tom is our resident renaissance man when it comes to English, Writing, History and SAT/ACT prep. Tom is a graduate of Yale University and simply knows a lot about everything.  Tom assists students in research papers, essay writing and history assignments.  Tom has a strong knowledge of writing structure, process, thesis statement development and grammar.
